Program Therapist Location: Lake City, FL Facility: The Wave of North Florida About Us The Wave of North Florida provides structured residential and outpatient behavioral health treatment focused on Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring mental health needs. As part of The Wave International network, our programs prioritize evidence-based care, compliance, and collaborative teamwork. We are actively expanding and seeking an experienced Program Therapist who can integrate quickly into a fast-paced, technology-driven clinical environment. Position Overview The Program Therapist is responsible for delivering individual and group therapy, treatment planning, clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration for clients engaged in residential, PHP, and IOP programs. This role is ideal for a therapist who can contribute immediately with strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and a positive professional presence. Key Responsibilities • Conduct individual therapy aligned with individualized treatment goals • Facilitate group therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities for SUD and co-occurring MH • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within required timeframes • Maintain accurate documentation in our EMR (ALLEVA) • Collaborate with medical, admissions, nursing, and operations teams to support client care • Participate actively in treatment team meetings and discharge planning • Provide crisis support and intervention when clinically necessary • Adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, confidentiality policies, and ASAM-aligned treatment approaches Required Qualifications • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience providing therapy in mental health and/or SUD treatment • Knowledge of treatment planning, clinical documentation, therapeutic modalities, and behavioral health regulations • Ability to adopt technology quickly, including EMR and digital workflow systems • Strong professional boundaries, communication skills, and teamwork mindset Required Licensure (Florida) Applicants must hold one of the following: • RMHC, LMHC, RCSWI, LCSW, RMFT, LMFT, or equivalent Florida clinical license/registration • Registered interns must have active supervision and relevant treatment experience Preferred Skills & Experience • Experience with co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT, MI, or other evidence-based modalities • Familiarity with ASAM criteria and interdisciplinary treatment coordination • Experience working in residential, PHP, or IOP programs What We Offer • Competitive compensation based on experience and licensure level • Full-time schedule in a growing clinical program • Supportive, collaborative leadership and structured clinical workflows • Opportunities for advancement within a multi-state organization • Training, supervision support (if applicable), and professional development Ideal Candidates Will • Work efficiently in a compliance-driven environment • Have strong documentation accountability • Thrive in a mission-focused team • Learn new systems and processes quickly • Demonstrate clinical maturity and ethical decision-making We are hiring immediately and encourage qualified therapists to apply without delay.
