Position Overview Healthy Kids Programs is seeking an experienced and motivated Program Trainer to support program quality across Birmingham City School sites. This leadership-focused role is responsible for coaching staff, strengthening instructional practices, ensuring licensing compliance, and improving overall site performance. The ideal candidate is confident in providing feedback, skilled in classroom management strategies, and passionate about supporting youth development professionals. This role requires travel between assigned school sites and consistent collaboration with Site Directors and leadership. Essential Responsibilities Program Quality & Compliance Conduct regular site visits to evaluate program quality, safety, and licensing compliance Monitor adherence to state regulations and Healthy Kids program standards Provide written observation reports with clear action steps Support continuous improvement plans and follow-up coaching Staff Coaching & Professional Development Provide hands-on coaching to Site Directors and staff Train staff in classroom management, behavior management, and active supervision Support student engagement strategies and positive youth development practices Facilitate professional development sessions and skill-building workshops Model effective instructional and operational practices Operational Support Guide staff in incident reporting procedures and documentation standards Support parent communication best practices Assist with new site openings and leadership transitions Partner with the Executive Director to identify trends and implement improvements Curriculum Implementation Support implementation of Healthy Kids curriculum and enrichment activities Ensure programming aligns with educational standards and program goals Requirements Qualifications Required: Minimum age of 19 High school diploma or GED Current First Aid/CPR certification Ability to obtain annual State of Alabama required trainings Experience in training, coaching, or supervising staff in an educational or youth development setting Experience using a registration and attendance management system comparable to Playground Software Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field Experience overseeing multiple sites or programs Background in behavior management and youth development programs Additional Requirements High-energy, team-oriented, and professional demeanor Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to provide constructive feedback Willingness to travel between all Birmingham City School sites Pass background check, fingerprinting, TB test, and state-required screenings Medically fit to perform job duties Why Join Healthy Kids Programs?
