This role specialises in the strategic planning, implementation, and optimisation of programmatic advertising campaigns across display, video, and mobile channels. You'll leverage demand-side platforms (DSPs) and advanced programmatic technologies to execute data-driven, performance-focused campaigns that deliver exceptional results for our clients. Working collaboratively with our Client Success team and internal stakeholders, you'll apply deep programmatic expertise and sophisticated trading techniques to maximise campaign performance. Your analytical prowess and reporting skills will be essential in demonstrating value and driving continuous improvement. Success is measured by effective budget allocation, achieving performance targets (including awareness, traffic, acquisition, and ROAS), and maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and retention rates. Key Responsibilities Execute advanced programmatic buying strategies across display, video, mobile, and emerging channels, with supplementary expertise in paid social and search when required. Manage campaigns within leading DSPs (particularly The Trade Desk, DV360, Amazon DSP) to optimise reach, engagement, and conversion outcomes. Implement sophisticated targeting strategies including audience segmentation, lookalike modelling, and real-time bidding optimisation. Deploy and manage tracking solutions through tag management platforms (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch) to ensure accurate measurement and attribution. Develop bespoke campaign strategies tailored to individual client objectives and industry verticals Monitor and optimise campaign performance in real-time, ensuring full delivery against KPIs and budget allocation. Identify performance enhancement opportunities through data analysis and testing methodologies. Maintain compliance with SLAs and industry best practices throughout the campaign lifecycle. Conduct comprehensive post-campaign analysis using DSP reporting tools and third-party measurement platforms. Present data-driven insights that clearly demonstrate the impact of programmatic strategies on client outcomes. Deliver detailed performance reporting with actionable recommendations for future optimisation. Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot campaign issues and resolve delivery discrepancies. Foster exceptional client relationships through proactive communication and strategic consultation. Identify growth opportunities including budget scaling and cross-channel expansion possibilities. Contribute to revenue targets aligned with News Xtend and News Corp Australia objectives. Essential Requirements Minimum 1+ years of hands-on programmatic advertising experience with proven campaign management and optimisation expertise Proficiency in The Trade Desk, Google DV360, Amazon DSP or similar DSPs with demonstrated ability to execute complex buying strategies Deep understanding of programmatic ecosystem including RTB, PMPs, programmatic direct, and emerging inventory types Experience with data management platforms (DMPs) and customer data platforms (CDPs) for audience activation Strong analytical capabilities with experience in performance measurement, attribution modeling, and data visualization tools Supplementary knowledge of paid social and search platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads) advantageous but not primary focus Exceptional organisational skills with ability to manage multiple complex campaigns simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail Strong communication abilities with talent for building credibility and trust with internal teams Data-driven decision making with ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights Proactive, collaborative mindset with positive attitude and adaptability to changing priorities Excellent listening skills to understand client requirements and translate them into effective programmatic strategies Self-motivated with strong ownership mentality for daily responsibilities and long-term project success Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting Experience with reporting and data visualisation tools (Tapclicks, DataStudio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms) Strong numerical and analytical capabilities essential for budget management and performance optimisation
