An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme and Student Lead to join our School of Computing and AI Team on a full time, permanent basis based in our Birmingham Campus. Reporting to the Academic Management Team, you will be responsible for quality of the delivery of the assigned suite of Computer Science programmes delivered at the designated campuses (Birmingham, Leeds London and Manchester) . As a Programme and Student Lead (PSL) at Faculty of Business, Technology and Applied Science (BTAS), and specifically within the School of Computing and AI, you will be: Working as a member of the Campus Management Team to ensure smooth running of the courses and excellent student experience Managing the relationship with academic partners, if any, assuring coordination and the quality of the Computer Science programmes they contribute to and are delivered at the designated campus Collating and disseminating feedback on programme design and materials as delivered on campus to ensure quality, and contribute to discussions on how that feedback might lead to revisions Ensuring an outstanding quality of student experience as measured by key benchmarks, and ensuring the effective promotion, delivery and analysis of student surveys Ensuring that effective communication takes place between the School of Computing and AI and campus teams Carrying out the tasks of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, including timetabled teaching, in designated or other campuses, and module leadership among others, in the time not allocated to management activities. We are looking for individuals who are/have: Substantial experience of leading and managing the teaching of computing/computer science and/or designing courses at degree/graduate diploma level Highly IT literate - understanding of the digital environment in higher education A can-do attitude and sense of ownership about the programmes led Proven senior management experience and leadership skills within a business or educational setting. Good understanding of current theory and best practice of teaching, learning and assessment in academic courses or professional training At The University of Law, you will work alongside other like-minded professionals who are passionate about driving innovation in higher education and delivering successful outcomes for our students.
