EXTERNAL ANNOUNCEMENT TITLE: Youth Employability Project Assistant Contract Type: National TEAM/PROGRAMME: Programme Operations LOCATION: Bangkok, Thailand CONTRACT LENGTH: 1 year with possible extension ROLE PURPOSE: Save the Children Thailand is implementing the Youth Employability Project in Bangkok to equip local youth with vocational training, enhance life skills, and improve employment opportunities while addressing barriers to decent work in Thailand. The Youth Employability Project Assistant will provide essential support to the Youth Employability Project Officer and Bangkok Program Coordinator in the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of youth employability initiatives. The role includes coordinating with the MEAL team, supporting donor engagement, managing project documentation and logistics, and preparing youth for internship placements. The Project Assistant will also work closely with the Project Officer to support monitoring, learning, and continuous improvement of the curriculum and training approaches, ensuring they are inclusive, gender-sensitive, and responsive to the diverse needs of target youth communities. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Programmes Coordinator (Bangkok) Staff reporting to this post: None Budget Responsibilities: No Role Dimensions: Close collaboration with local implementing partners, trainers, schools, vocational institutions, and private sector actors. Requires up to 50% travel within Bangkok. KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Project management: Support Youth Employability Project Officer and Bangkok Program Coordinator in implementing project activities, managing logistics, procurement, and maintaining project documentation. Support Youth Employability Project Officer in preparation and facilitation of training sessions, workshops, and internship placements for youth participants. Manage day-to-day project logistics, procurement, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth delivery of activities. Support preparation of project reports, presentations, and documentation for donors and partners. Assist in coordinating donor visits, meetings, and youth showcases. Maintain accurate project documentation, databases, and filing in the online systems. Reporting and Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL): Support Project Officer in monitoring training sessions, collecting feedback, and assisting with improvements to training materials and approaches. Gather feedback from youth and local implementing partners to support continuous improvement of training approaches. Monitor and evaluate the project activities in line with the internal M&E plan and in coordination with MEAL team. Collaboration and coordination: Help establish and maintain partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including TVET centers, government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, and potential donors. Support the facilitation of donor engagement and stewardship activities to strengthen relationships and sustain program support. Integrity: Honest, encourages openness and transparency; demonstrates highest levels of integrity QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Youth Development, or a field(s) relevant to development work. Thai Nationality EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Essential Minimum 2 years of experience in project or administrative support; strong organizational and coordination skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills. Program management skills and advanced level of IT skills. Fluency in the Thai and English. An outstanding service-oriented attitude and a can-do mindset. Desirable Proven track record of delivering high-quality training in at least one of the following areas: customer service, vocational skills, life skills, digital literacy, or career guidance. Quickly adapt to new topics, grasp concepts on the go, and synthesize information efficiently.
