Open to Internal and External Candidates Position Title : Programme Coordinator and Facilitator (Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA)) Duty Station : Bangkok, Thailand Classification : General Service (G-6, THB 82,328.50 per month) Type of Appointment : One Year Fixed-Term Contract (Initial 12 months with possibility of extension) Estimated Start Date : As soon as possible Closing Date : 2 November 2025 (Open for Thai Nationals Only) ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE: Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-­ governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants. The Government of Canada, through its department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has signed a Grant Arrangement with the International Organization for Migration for the delivery of pre-departure services to refugees bound for Canada. Under the administrative supervision of the IOM Thailand Chief of Mission and the overall programmatic supervision of the Geneva-based Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) Global Programme Officer, the Programme Coordinator and Facilitator will be the focal point for the smooth implementation of the COA programming (telephonic, virtual, in-person orientation delivery) for both adults and youth, in Thailand and in other locations, as required. The incumbent will liaise and represent COA vis-à-vis various stakeholders and be responsible for promoting IOM's refugee programming to relevant stakeholders in Thailand and in the region: IOM, the Canadian Embassies in the region and other partners that may come to play a role in our pre-departure orientation activities. The incumbent will maintain regular contact with the COA Global Management Team (in Geneva, Ottawa, Canada and Manila) and ensure that Canada's information needs are served accurately and efficiently.

The Programme Coordinator and Facilitator will oversee the implementation of the Canadian Orientation Abroad programming, ensuring effective orientation delivery for refugees. The role involves liaising with various stakeholders and promoting IOM's refugee programming in Thailand and the region.
