Join DOC as a Programme Coordinator and play a key role behind the scenes—ensuring our programmes run smoothly, stay on track, and deliver meaningful outcomes for Aotearoa’s natural environment. In this role, you will provide specialist programme coordination that will primarily support the successful delivery of DOC’s national Contaminated Sites Programme. This important programme of work is well established and enables DOC as a land manager to improve visitor safety, achieve legislative compliance, and uphold our role as an honourable treaty partner. As an active contributor to the wider EPMO and Change Office you may at times be required to support other programmes of work. Working closely with the Programme Manager and wider programme team, you’ll help maintain the systems, documentation, reporting, and coordination needed to deliver work on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to keep communication clear, decisions documented, and programme activities aligned. The position will: Support the Programme Manager to deliver programmes to agreed time, cost, and quality expectations Prepare and maintain key programme documentation including schedules, resource plans, budgets, risk registers, and reports Provide financial monitoring and oversight for complex programme/s including managing forecasting, reporting as well as creating and managing purchase orders. Coordinate programme governance and operational processes, including meetings, actions, change requests, and decision records Provide proactive programme and team administration, including diary management, travel coordination, event planning, and meeting logistics Identify potential issues or risks early, escalating where appropriate and supporting agreed remedial actions Work with team members from a range of technical and project delivery backgrounds and be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and at all levels of management.
