Description
Napier City Council is seeking a highly organised Programme Coordinator to support the smooth delivery of our infrastructure projects. You’ll play a key role in project and contract administration, keeping processes compliant, records accurate, and teams connected so projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of Council’s Programme Delivery team, working closely with Portfolio Leads and stakeholders to support financial reporting, scheduling, and systems improvement. If you’re detail-focused, proactive, and enjoy keeping complex projects on track, this role is for you. Te Āheinga - The Opportunity Deliver project and contract administration to support the successful delivery of key infrastructure projects. Administer the tendering of contracts via GETS, and assist the Portfolio Leads through the award process. Process contract claims, retentions, accruals, purchase orders, invoices and payments. Work closely with internal Portfolio Leads and teams, external consultant project managers and contractors, to ensure processes run smoothly and reporting is accurate and timely. Play a key role in ensuring compliance with Council processes, policies, and legislation. Contribute to a high-performing, solutions-focused team driving positive outcomes for the Napier community. He kōrero mōhou - About You You bring at least five years’ experience in contract administration, project coordination, and office management within the infrastructure, civil, or local government environments. Experience with NZS3910:2023 would be a huge plus in this role. You have strong organisational and numerical skills, with a knack for accuracy and attention to detail. You’re confident using Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of procurement, contract administration, and financial processes. You’re a proactive team player, comfortable managing multiple priorities and building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You’ll be based in Napier. The annual salary package for this role is between $68,500-$80,600 (including KiwiSaver), with the final offer depending on your skills and experience.
