Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for an inspiring Programme Lead to design and deliver an exciting new pilot – the Vice Chancellor’s Leadership Programme, on a fixed-term, full-time basis until December 2026. This one-year pilot programme will empower 45–50 high-potential leaders that are undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds to lead with integrity, tackle complex challenges, and prepare them to make a lasting positive impact on Aotearoa-New Zealand and the world. As Programme Lead, you’ll shape every part of the journey – from co-creating the curriculum and coordinating engaging events, to building strong stakeholder relationships and evaluating the programme’s success. Ō pūmanawa - About you Key requirements: A background in leadership development, education, or programme management. A strategic mindset and strong facilitation skills. A proven background in event and project management. Experience working with students and/or young adults. A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. A collaborative spirit and excellent relationship-building abilities especially with senior external partners. Someone with a sixth sense of knowing what to do and when to make that positive difference in the life journey of a student.
