Description
Be the Engine Behind Datacom's AI Future Datacom is one of Asia-Pacific's leading technology companies, and we're building something genuinely exciting — an AI Centre of Enablement (AI CoE) designed to drive real, measurable impact across our business and our customers. We're looking for a Programme Manager who thrives at the intersection of strategy and delivery — someone who can take bold AI ideas and turn them into committed investments with hard benefits on the other side. This isn't a traditional PM role. This is the operational heartbeat of our AI CoE. What You'll Be Doing As the AI CoE Programme Manager, you'll be the connective tissue between AI strategy, delivery, and value realisation. You'll work closely with senior leaders, domain experts, and technical teams to ensure every AI initiative we commit to is prioritised, structured, governed, and delivered with commercial rigour. Your key focus areas will include: Use Case Prioritisation & Business Casing — Taking prioritised AI use cases from our GM AI Strategy & Foresight and applying a deeper lens: materiality to Datacom, payback profile, reusability across our customer base, and market timing. You'll lead the business casing process end-to-end — sizing the opportunity, defining the commercial model, and building a credible benefits realisation plan. AI Use Case Backlog Ownership — Maintaining the single source of truth for all AI use cases across Datacom. You'll apply consistent filtering criteria, track status, scoring, ownership, dependencies, and benefits — keeping the backlog sharp, focused, and visible to the AI Council, GLT, and service line GMs. Programme Governance & Delivery Oversight — Routing approved use cases to the right delivery vehicle (AI Lab, Tech Foundations, or service lines), running a disciplined cadence across delivery streams, and tracking benefits realisation back to business cases. You'll coordinate the critical seam between Lab proof points and scalable customer delivery. Methodology & Standards — Building and continuously refining governance frameworks, stage gates, and delivery methodology that enable rather than control. You'll lead a flexible team of Project Managers who rotate across initiative squads based on priority and horizon. Who We're Looking For You're a seasoned programme leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery discipline. You're comfortable operating at the executive level and equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to resolve delivery blockers. You'll bring: Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programmes — ideally within technology, consulting, or a large enterprise environment Strong business casing and investment prioritisation skills — you know how to size a prize and hold people accountable to realising it Experience with AI, data, or technology transformation programmes (you don't need to be a data scientist, but you need to speak the language) Exceptional stakeholder management — you can influence without authority across a matrixed organisation A structured, outcomes-driven mindset with a low tolerance for initiatives that look good on paper but don't deliver Experience managing and developing project managers or delivery leads Comfort presenting to senior leadership and governance forums Why Datacom? Be at the forefront of AI adoption across one of ANZ's most established tech companies Work alongside a high-calibre leadership team genuinely committed to building AI capability at scale A role with real visibility — reporting directly to the Head of AI CoE and presenting to the AI Council and GLT Flexible working arrangements and a collaborative, inclusive culture Competitive remuneration package Ready to Drive What's Next? If you're ready to be the operational force behind Datacom's AI ambitions, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now and tell us how you've turned complex initiatives into measurable outcomes.
