Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience of managing teams of people with ability to communicate strategy clearly, to motivate and inspire teams to achieve together
  • Experience of at least one lifecycle (e.g. waterfall, agile, consultancy)
  • Experience of leading on the Programme Management aspects of competitive tenders
  • Ability to produce proposal plans, text and narratives to support any proposed Program Delivery
  • Experience in competitive dialogue tendering process

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of more than one lifecycle
  • Professional ScrumMaster (PSM I) for Agile Projects
  • Membership of a Professional Programme Management organisation
  • Public Sector Procurement experienc
Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of a pre-sales team leading on Programme Management, who has experience of working as the Programme Lead on a complex bids and competitive dialogue procurement processes.

Key Tasks:

  • Deliver the programme to time, budget and quality achieving the agreed outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain an effective management and leadership structure.
  • Manage and report to senior internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the client relationship at senior IT and business levels.
  • Secure additional business
  • Own the successful delivery of the programme with full responsibility and accountability for a portfolio of internal and external deliverables.
  • Own the entire programme lifecycle, within the context of the CGI Business area’s financial and operational drivers.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting against completion of significant and competing objectives, and all aspects of budgeting which may include external political and economic factors.
  • Establish and implement appropriate processes to understand, control and report on budgets
  • Pro-actively identify key changes and balance the needs of all stakeholders at the highest levels to gain their engagement and commitment to the business and commercial outcomes.
  • Maintain an up-to-date overview of programme status.
  • Evaluate competing issues and establish priorities.
  • Root out and identify trends in order to take appropriate preventative action and address systemic causes.
  • Work constructively with the management team to implement best practice.Financial Management
  • Fully accountable for the programme budget (anticipated experience of managing budgets up to £50M)
  • Secures opportunities to grow the account, including extensions to the existing engagement and new business.
