About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Programme Manager for Fabrication and Welding to lead and manage our provision in this vital area of technical education. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving quality improvement, curriculum development, and high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the strategic planning and operational delivery of Fabrication and Welding programmes (from Entry Level to Level 3 and beyond).
  • Inspire and manage a team of teaching staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, learner-focused education.
  • Work closely with employers, awarding bodies, and stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and progression opportunities.
  • Monitor and drive improvements in student outcomes, retention, and destinations.
  • Ensure compliance with awarding body standards, health & safety regulations, and internal quality assurance processes.
  • Support the development of apprenticeship and commercial training offers in Fabrication and Welding.

About You

You will be an ambitious curriculum leader with:

  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
  • A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in Fabrication and Welding or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proven leadership or coordination experience within an FE or training environment.
  • Strong knowledge of awarding body frameworks (e.g. City & Guilds, EAL).
  • A track record of delivering excellent outcomes for learners and driving continuous improvement.
  • The ability to lead by example, build strong teams, and foster an aspirational learning environment.
