Role Summary: The FIT Programme Manager for Northern Ireland (NI) will be responsible for driving the growth and success of FIT programmes in the region. This role involves managing relationships with key stakeholders, overseeing the implementation of tech training initiatives, and securing funding from various sources. The Programme Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure the alignment of programmes with FIT’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and a passion for technology and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry, government agencies, education and training institutions, community organisations, and the general public.
  • Assist in the growth and development of FIT programmes in Northern Ireland.
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of FIT initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders and partners, with support from the SMT.
  • Devise new tech training initiatives aligned with FIT’s mission, goals, and objectives, in collaboration with the SMT.
  • Seek programme funding from various sources, including private sector, philanthropic funds, and government departments.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships regionally and cross-border for new programme/project applications and implementation.
  • Implement designated projects, including planning, monitoring, coordinating staff, and liaising with managing authorities.
  • Manage project finances and administration in conjunction with the Corporate Services Manager, and ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Prepare status reports and provide information to managing authorities, funders, and partners, and manage recruitment strategies for FIT programmes.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion in programme design and delivery, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and promote FIT’s values through public engagement and advocacy.
