Ocean Infinity is seeking highly experienced Programme Managers to lead complex, large-scale Transformation programmes that are critical to our strategic objectives and the overall maturity of our organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successful delivery within complex environments, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of programme and project management methodologies. This role is pivotal in translating our vision into tangible outcomes, ensuring alignment across diverse stakeholders, and fostering a culture of delivery excellence.
What you will do:

Programme Leadership & Strategy:

• Define, plan, and execute large-scale, complex programmes of work, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business priorities;
• Develop and maintain comprehensive programme plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies;
• Provide strategic oversight and direction to multiple interconnected projects, ensuring their successful integration and contribution to overall programme goals;
• Champion best practices in both programme management and adoption of technology / AI within delivery, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across all departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on programme objectives and progress;
• Act as the primary point of contact for programme-related communications, providing regular updates to the Head of Transformation and Executive Leadership;
• Proactively identify and resolve interdependencies, conflicts, and roadblocks across projects and functional areas.

Risk & Issue Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate programme-level risks and issues, developing robust contingency plans;
• Ensure effective resolution of critical issues, escalating to the Head of Transformation as necessary.

Governance & Reporting:

• Establish and maintain robust programme governance structures, including steering committees and regular reporting mechanisms;
• Monitor and report on programme performance against established KPIs, providing insightful analysis and recommendations;
• Ensure adherence to organisational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Mentoring:

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Project Managers and project teams within the programme;
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment;
• Contribute to the ongoing development of project management capabilities within the organization.

Who you are:

• Over 8 years of demonstrable experience in large-scale, complex delivery; either directly as a Programme Manager or in roles that clearly showcase the ability to manage a programme of work (e.g., Senior Project Manager on highly complex portfolios);
• Proven track record of successfully delivering significant strategic programmes within a dynamic and evolving environment;
• Well-versed in Project Delivery, with extensive experience across the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure;
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and the ability to apply them pragmatically based on programme needs;
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of an organisation;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions;
• Evidence of adopting technology and using AI to increase efficiency in delivery, with experience of using PPM tools desirable;
• Experience in the marine, engineering, technology, or other similarly complex industries is highly desirable;
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., MSP, PMP, PgMP) are highly advantageous.

Salary for this position: Up to £85,000 per annum
Salary: The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
