It is a world-class collaboration that encompasses researchers from universities and research institutes across New Zealand and is focused on the fields of quantum optics, photonics and precision atomic physics. The role | Te mahi We are looking for an accomplished Programme Manager to work closely with the Centre Director and Deputy Director, Professors Frédérique Vanholsbeeck and Keith Gordon, and Leadership Team ensuring that the programme goals of the Centre are met and to develop strategic plans for the further growth and development of the Centre. You will be responsible for: • assisting to plan and deliver the vision for the Centre, including the MBIE-funded Quantum Technology Aotearoa (QTA) programme. • working to support the activities of the Dodd-Walls Centre and QTA members, Directorship and Management Boards. • operational management and administration of the Dodd-Walls Centre. • relationship management with partners. • financial management, reporting and contracting within and between Dodd-Walls Centre partner institutions. Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako • A strong understanding of financial management and ability to maintain complex accounts. • Strong operational management experience within a complex service environment, coupled with the required solid financial acumen. • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Relevant tertiary qualification. • A highly collegial and flexible approach to management. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to interact tactfully and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals. Responsiveness, ability to thrive in a busy environment and proactive attitude are essential. Further details | Pūroko This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position, based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. The appointment range is $101,739 to $110,396 per annum.
