Description
Project Context and Scope The Programme Officer (Education) will be responsible for strengthening the capacity of the education system to deliver quality education by empowering and enhancing the TVTC teaching workforce. The selected candidate will need to assess the existing gaps and carry out the necessary training to fill the identified gaps; improving the teaching staff’s skills in line with modern occupational standards such as integration of gender responsive pedagogy and effectively utilising technology to ensure high-quality lesson delivery and improved student engagement. As such, the IOM Yemen Mission seeks the services of an experienced and qualified education specialist who can provide sound expert technical guidance to various local partners including local authorities as well as directly to the TVTC staff. The consultant will develop an Expression of interest (EOI) in line with IOM’s procurement policy that is aimed at attracting all potential vendors in the local context of Yemen. Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing Peace and Recovery Unit (reporting directly to the Programme Officer (Peace and Recovery)).
