EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

EXPERIENCE:

1 year work-related experience in computer programming is preferred
Required licensure, certification, registration or other requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the
University Vehicle Use Policy
.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience programming/supporting the Ellucian Banner ERP system.
Experience programming/supporting Salesforce CRM.
1 year of experience programming using Oracle database.
Ability to write and interpret complex SQL and PL/SQL in a production environment.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Successful experience in priority setting and time management.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Experience communicating and collaborating effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Experience programming or developing business applications
2 years of experience in basic programming languages.
Experience in programming using complex relational database structures.
Prior systems analysis experience.
Experience communicating with end users throughout the project development lifecycle.
Excellent verbal communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop client partnerships for effectively communicating with users to incorporate their needs and changes to correct problem situations.
Install, modify, and maintain basic hardware and software for department computers and local area networks (LAN) stations; configure computers and write documentation.
May perform similar work on separate modules within larger, complicated programs.
Develop cross-checks and other tests; use tests to analyze application or programming problems; correct problems within set project deadlines.
Develop a working understanding of ongoing functional operations.
Work on-call schedule, as directed, during non-business hours.
Produce effective reports for department.
