As a Programmer Analyst – Factory Settings supporting the MQ-28 program you will dive into the exciting Digital and Model Based value streams, tackling complex technology challenges and enhancing your expertise in a fast-paced dynamic environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a computer-related field, mechatronics, engineering, or a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics), desired but not essential

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in programming languages and database tools, including Python, C#, web technologies, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in software and web development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in diagnosing and isolating technical problems.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and standards.
  • Familiarity with factory automation software and hardware platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps and cloud-native technologies, such as containerization, CI/CD, and microservices is an advantage.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Programmer Analyst – Factory Settings to join our Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) organisation which supports Boeing businesses in Australia and associated enterprise functions: Commercial and Government Aftermarket Services; Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and Corporate functions. The full-time permanent role will be based in Toowoomba with the ability for hybrid working arrangements.

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions for factory automation, including process control, data acquisition, machine monitoring, production scheduling, inventory management and quality control
  • Integrating diverse factory systems and technologies to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
  • Contributing to software requirements development and troubleshooting of operational or integration issues
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate software components into fully functional systems, including writing and compiling code and constructing database objects based on design specifications.
  • Enhancing existing applications and implementing new strategies to improve efficiency/or software functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Maintain and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support software testing efforts by assisting with test procedures and documenting results to verify system requirements.
  • Collaborating in the development, documentation, and maintenance of software architecture, requirements and designs while supporting project management and supplier relationships
  • Assist in the creation of project estimates, plans, schedules, and corrective actions.
  • Develop system architectures that address both information security (InfoSec) and functional requirements.
  • Ensure fulfillment of Enterprise compliance obligations.
