Description

Here at Action For Humanity (AFH), we are looking for Programmes Coordinator to join us at our International Office in Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis and in return you will receive a competitive annual salary of £28,000 to £34,000.

As a Programmes Coordinator at AFH, you will be a key member of the Programmes team, ensuring the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of AFH’s projects internationally. You will focus on project implementation, financial oversight, compliance, and coordination with various departments to achieve high-quality, impactful programming.
You will collaborate with our team and stakeholders across the globe, supporting the delivery and development of inspiring projects and ensuring our campaigns run smoothly.

EDUCATION

  • Postgraduate degree in relevant field i.e. International Development
  • Project Management qualification i.e. PMDPro (desirable)

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working in the charity sector in a similar role
  • Experience and proven track record of managing contracts
  • Experience and proven track record of programme and financial donor reporting
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience of collaboratively working with remote teams
  • Strong understanding of donor regulations, contract management, and financial compliance.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Experience working in fragile and conflict affected settings (desirable)
  • Previous experience managing or supporting orphans or family sponsorships programmes (desirable)

Responsibilities

3. MONITORING, EVALUATION, ACCOUNTABILITY & LEARNING (MEAL)

  • Facilitate the implementation of Project Cycle Management (PCM) in line with AFH’s Programmes Handbook, taking the initiative to improve and strengthen best practices.
  • Carry out visits to field locations to assess project performance, ensure accountability, and strengthen impact measurement in support of the Programme Quality team.
  • Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure strong monitoring frameworks, impact assessment, and lesson-learning mechanisms are in place.
  • Regularly track and report on programme progress, supporting adaptive management to improve delivery.
