The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is seeking an experienced, imaginative, and strategic museum education professional to join our staff.
Our Programs and Outreach Manager position will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of educational programs and outreach within our Museum, with a focus on fostering engagement with all visitors.
The DAR Museum, located in the DAR’s Headquarters, collects, preserves, and interprets objects used and created in American homes. Using the lens of the varied interpretations of home, we inspire conversations about the diverse American experience, encouraging people to discover common ground.
Our Museum offers a range of educational programming for all ages, including school programs, Girl Scout events, lectures, and events for the public. To read more about the Museum’s history, mission, and upcoming events and exhibits, please visit our website here.
A successful candidate will be able to apply their knowledge to grow the public’s awareness of the museum through the expansive use of social media, to develop the museum as a solid resource for schools at all levels and to use analytics to adjust our collection education as needed.
