POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for implementing AFSP-approved programs within Virginia.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Bachelors Degree preferred
Experience and/or Training 2-3 years’ experience in non profit program delivery
Technology/Equipment Strong technology skills to include Outlook, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and Social Media

Responsibilities
  • Grow chapter network to expand engagement and program delivery
  • Manage, plan, coordinate, and implement AFSP’s prevention, education, loss and healing, and research connection programs as well as other programmatic activities in person and virtually
  • Organize, distribute, and deliver materials to volunteers for programmatic activities and events
  • Develop websites, e-blasts, social media content, and other promotional materials for programmatic activities and events
  • Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, managing, and stewarding volunteers to deliver programs throughout the chapter territory
  • Develop and implement budgets for all programmatic activities
  • Work with event-related vendors, municipalities, and venues
  • Provide programmatic content for sponsorship and grant applications
  • Ensure program information is available at all chapter activities
  • Under supervision of Area Director, staff chapter program committees
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
