ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia’s largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Why this role matters
At Sydney City Salvos we believe in working together as Salvos serving our community and also working with other services in the city to best care for and love those in our area.
About the role
At Sydney City Salvos, we meet people at the crossroads of crisis and hope—creating safe, welcoming spaces for all who walk through our doors. We believe that healing begins with safety, compassion, and connection, and we’re seeking someone with heart, resilience, and purpose to help us carry that mission forward.
As a Program Support Worker, you will be more than a support person—you will be a lifeline. In this dynamic, service-based role, you will be working alongside a passionate team to engage with individuals and families through the Trauma Informed Care Framework, ensuring that no one is turned away, and every person is met with dignity.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Surry Hills. Salary is in accordance with SCHADS Level3.
