Job title: Project Accountant

Salary: £42,000-£45,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Part qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), ideally looking to qualify in the next 18 months
• Experience in project accounting within a similar industry
• Advanced Excel skills required, experience of using SAP would be desirable

• Manage all aspects of Project Accounting for numerous programs, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Complete system entries in SAP and Finance forecasting tool (BPC) to reflect accurate program performance in management and statutory reporting
• Work closely with other functions to ensure program costs, risks, and Estimate to Complete data are accurately reflected in reporting
• Set annual budgets and work with the Program Management team to monitor performance
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the program Contract Status Reports, including relevant comments to aid management’s understanding of movements and variances to budget
• Support the capture of accurate Program Risks & Opportunities for consolidation at the business level
• Support accurate and timely invoicing on relevant programs
• Support business improvement activities within the function and throughout the wider business
• Support compliance with Financial Control Frameworks
