Description

One of a leading Contracting Company in Abu Dhabi is looking for Accountant to join their team . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, with hands-on experience in preparing project cost sheets, budget allocations, and managing financial records for construction projects. The candidate should be able to track market trends and incorporate this information into cost estimation and financial planning.
Location : ICAD Mussafah ,Abu Dhabi

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and cost management.
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or any construction-specific accounting software).
  • Expertise in budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and material costs in the construction industry.
    Salary Range : AED 3500 - AED 5000
    Immediate joiners preferred

    Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • Cost Sheet Preparation: Develop and maintain detailed cost sheets for construction projects, including labor, materials, overheads, and other project-specific costs.
  • Project Budgeting: Prepare project budgets, allocating costs for various stages of construction, and track ongoing project expenses to ensure they align with the original budget.
  • Financial Reporting: Monitor and report on the financial performance of construction projects, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Market Trends: Research and stay updated on construction material price fluctuations and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to the project team.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile financial accounts related to projects, ensuring accuracy in cost allocations, revenue recognition, and balance sheet entries.
  • Cost Control: Track and analyze cost overruns and variances in the budget. Suggest corrective actions to mitigate financial risks.
  • Financial Forecasting: Work closely with the project managers to forecast future costs and assist in financial decision-making.
  • Project Profitability Analysis: Analyze and report on the financial health of ongoing projects, identifying areas for cost savings and opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate cost estimations and financial tracking throughout the life cycle of a project.
