JOB DESCRIPTION

This role works closely with the project operations team—including field associates and management—as well as the Accounting Department to ensure all hard and soft project costs are accurately tracked, controlled, and reported. This individual will also play a critical role in budgeting, vendor coordination, client invoicing, and financial setup for new deals.
Maintaining historical records by scanning and filing documents electronically.
Since this is a fast-growing company a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are a must. The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced and deadline driven environment is key.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in construction or real estate accounting preferred.
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, job costing, and cost tracking.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Buildertrend, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills (bilingual is a plus).
  • Ability to manage a high volume of invoices and inquiries across multiple companies effectively.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
  • Perform other accounting duties as required.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
Responsibilities
  • Understand and apply job cost accounting principles to all ongoing projects.
  • Prepare and process client invoices, including progress billings and final billings.
  • Review and process subcontractor/vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contract terms.
  • Maintain up-to-date tracking of project costs, budgets, and forecast adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the operations and accounting teams to ensure seamless financial handover.
  • Monitor and report on cost control issues throughout the life of each project.
  • Setup and manage SBA and construction draw schedules.
  • Break down deals and input accurate project costs into the budget.
  • Manage and maintain 21st Mortgage, Triad, and North Point floor plans.
  • Oversee Builder’s Risk insurance documentation.
  • Track booked deals and maintain related documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with financial reporting and audits related to project performance.
