Filinvest Company: Filinvest Hospitality Corp. The Project Accounting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial management of assigned hospitality development projects. The role ensures the accuracy of financial records, timely processing of project-related payments, effective budget monitoring, and compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. The position works closely with project, finance, and operational teams to support sound financial decision-making and successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: Oversee project accounting activities, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and timely month-end and year-end closing. Monitor project expenditures by preparing and reviewing actual versus budget reports and approved funding utilization. Ensure the timely processing and review of vendor payments, check vouchers, telegraphic transfers, and other project-related disbursements. Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other regulatory requirements, including tax filings, schedules, and supporting documentation. Support project teams by providing financial insights, cost monitoring, and budget variance analysis. Champion the effective use of accounting systems and digital platforms while identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including project development teams, auditors, and government agencies, to ensure smooth financial operations. Provide guidance and technical support to team members to promote adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices. Job Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from a recognized university or college. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred; professional license in Accountancy or relevant finance certifications is an advantage. At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate, hospitality, high-rise, township, or property development projects. Strong knowledge of project accounting, financial reporting, budget monitoring, accounts payable, and cost control processes. Working knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and statutory compliance, including BIR, SEC, and LGU requirements. Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, reconciliation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
