Job Description Job Brief The Project Accounting Team Lead will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Project Accountants, overseeing their daily operations, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. The Team Lead will be reporting to the Project Accounting Manager and support in conducting performance reviews, coaching and mentoring team members, addressing technical issues, and assessing team capacity. The role requires strong background in Project Accounting, as well as experience in leading and managing a team of professionals. This role requires a focus on people management, including, but not limited to coaching, and mentorship. The Team Lead will line manage a growing team of approximately 10-15 Project Accountants. Responsibilities & Duties Work closely with the Project Accounting Manager to ensure that all financial reporting is accurate and timely and escalate complex/material project issues to the PA Manager Manage and lead a team of project accountants, ensuring their work is accurate and completed on time as required by Onshore Stakeholders Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential Monitor and analyze team performance data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement that will also contribute to identification of training needs and support needed Provide input on the performance of team members, including conducting performance reviews and making recommendations for promotions, transfers, or disciplinary action as needed Foster a positive and productive team environment by encouraging open communication, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement Ensure own and team’s compliance with Accounting Standards, Tower and Center requirements, and Code of Conduct Support the Project Accounting Manager in training junior members of the team in addressing complex issues Actively seek opportunities to develop and implement processes improvements that will help enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the team's work Support in the internal and external audit as required Complete special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Amenable for night shift schedule (9PM to 6AM) Okay with hybrid set-up (2-3x per week RTO) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses 12-15 years of relevant experience in Project Accounting Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle, project accounting concepts & methodology, and contract types. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools & MS Teams application Experience in a shared service or captive set-up is an advantage. Experience working with ERP, i.e. Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools Attributes Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a varied audience and internal and external customers. (Communication) Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to suggest ways to improve customer support customer experience (Customer Service) Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and identifying errors, duplicates, & discrepancies through defined methods. (Attention to Detail) Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderate with the ability to provide resolution alternatives by following defined policies and procedures.
