KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage project finances: Track budgets, generate reports, and monitor performance against plans.
  • Support budget development and forecasting: Collaborate with teams to create budgets, gather data, and identify financial risks.
  • Implement cost control and variance analysis: Apply cost measures and explain deviations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and audit readiness: Organize documentation and prepare for reviews.
  • Process invoices and ensure contractual compliance: Verify expenses and adherence to agreements.Liaise with stakeholders and provide financial insights: Communicate financial information and identify risks.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A Secondary Vocational Education in Finance or Business Administration, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in a financial administration role, ideally within a project-oriented environment, demonstrating your understanding of project financial workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing financial data and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and address potential financial challenges.
  • A good command of the Dutch and English language (written and verbal) is essential for effective communication within our international organization.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Project Administrator at Damen Naval, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective financial management and control of our prestigious naval shipbuilding projects . Working closely with (Senior) Project Controllers, Financial Control, Business Control, and other key stakeholders, you will be instrumental in ensuring the financial integrity and success of our complex undertakings.
