The role
We seek a dynamic and results-oriented Project and Business Analyst to join our fast-paced travel technology company. This hybrid role reports to the Head of PMO, and combines the responsibilities of managing and delivering technology projects with the analytical skills of a business analyst. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring successful project delivery on time and within budget.
What I do

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
  • Manage project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
  • Track project progress, staff time tracking against projects and report on status to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication among all team members.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including developers, supplier resources, and testers.
  • Monitor project financials and ensure adherence to budget.

Business Analysis:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear and concise requirements, which are detailed in user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria for project deliverables.
  • Participate in user testing and provide feedback to development teams.
  • Document project requirements and specifications in a consistent and organised manner.Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in travel technology.

Who I am

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a project management or business analysis role, preferably within the travel industry or retail ecommerce.
  • Strong understanding of Agile project methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, DevOPs, Asana) and business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Miro, Confluence).
  • Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) is a plus.
  • Understanding of data analytics and visualisation tools is a plus.
  • Travel experience with either travel reservation systems or an understanding of the UX requirements of a travel e-commerce website would be a plus.
  • Comfortable presenting ideas to stakeholders.Experience of working alongside/in development teams.
