We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project and Design Consultant/Coordinator to join our dynamic commercial fitout company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding our clients through the entire fitout process, from initial concept development to project completion. Your role will involve translating client requirements into innovative design solutions, coordinating various project stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial interior projects.

Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:
Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their business objectives, brand identity, functional needs, and aesthetic preferences.
Collaborate closely with clients to develop comprehensive design briefs that capture their vision and expectations.
Design Development:
Work with the design team to create compelling and innovative design concepts that align with client goals and brand identity.
Produce detailed floor plans, layouts, 3D renderings, mood boards, and material samples to present design proposals to clients.
Project Planning:
Establish project scopes, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather accurate measurements, assess existing conditions, and identify potential challenges.
Budgeting and Cost Estimation:
Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for design, construction, materials, and other project-related expenses.
Collaborate with the procurement team to source and select materials, furnishings, and fixtures that align with design concepts and budget constraints.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select contractors, suppliers, and vendors required for the project.
Manage bid processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure that work is executed to meet quality standards and project milestones.
Project Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project schedules outlining tasks, deadlines, and dependencies.
Communicate and coordinate with various project stakeholders, including designers, architects, contractors, vendors, and clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all fitout projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and permits.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits for the project.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
Implement quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and finish.
Communication and Reporting:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
Prepare and present progress reports, budgets, and project status updates to clients and company leadership.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
Identify and resolve project-related challenges in a proactive and efficient manner.
Make informed decisions that align with project goals, client preferences, and budget constraints.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience (X years) in project management and interior design within the commercial fitout industry.
Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and functionality.
Leadership skills to manage project teams effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
