MEPPI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Application Engineer to support our Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD). In this role, you’ll manage quotations, technical information, submittals, and customer communications for standard solutions, from RFQ to order verification. You’ll serve as the primary customer liaison, ensuring solutions meet technical and commercial expectations while supporting internal teams.

Responsibilities
  • LEAD THE QUOTATION PROCESS:Review RFQ information and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to prepare comprehensive quotations, including specification compliance, pricing, Bill of Materials, drawings, and procedures.
  • PROVIDE TECHNICAL APPLICATION SUPPORT:Deliver engineering support to internal and external customers for product applications and solutions.
  • SUPPORT ONSITE SERVICES:Assist other departments by providing technical expertise for onsite services as needed.
  • MANAGE CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS AND DOCUMENTATION:Track and communicate order details, technical requirements, and customer interactions. Ensure all documentation is maintained and transferred in accordance with MEPPI’s quality system.
  • RECOMMEND PRODUCT APPLICATIONS:Identify and recommend the appropriate application of CPSD products to meet customer needs.
  • CREATE AND REVIEW TECHNICAL DRAWINGS:Present, review, and develop electrical, schematic, system, and mechanical drawings to support customer solutions.
  • PROMOTE CPSD PRODUCTS:Develop compelling written and verbal communications to describe and promote CPSD product capabilities.
  • MITIGATE RISK:Work with management and internal teams to identify and reduce risk and exposure related to customer and vendor orders.
  • EVALUATE AND CONTROL COSTS:Collaborate across departments to assess and manage costs associated with orders.
  • PARTICIPATE IN FACTORY TESTING:Attend and support factory witness tests as necessary.
  • SUPPORT PRODUCT AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS:Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest new product enhancements.
