Architecture49 (A49) is seeking a Project Architect resident in the Seaway Corridor Region to join our team on a remote or hybrid basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered architect in Ontario, or the ability to be registered
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability working with and managing teams remotely considered an asset
  • Ability to effectively communicate and deliver services in French considered an asset
  • Preference given to candidates with knowledge of BIM principles and workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam
Responsibilities
  • Remotely manage a group of architectural staff, leading project meetings, and coordinating engineering consultants on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Contribute to the production of architectural design solutions and construction drawings
  • Perform internal reviews and quality checks of the drawings to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff
  • Guide contract administration including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, conducting field visits, and working with construction contractors
  • Coordinate with management to address the financial aspects of a project including planning, scheduling, forecasting and staffing to achieve desired results
