Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, confident Project Architect, with exceptional skills in the delivery of complex projects in the civic, educational, residential and commercial sectors, to join the architectural team in our East Melbourne office.The role of Project Architect focuses on the development, documentation and delivery of projects in collaboration with the design director and team.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • ability to lead and guide the development of design, the resolution of tecnical details and the production of construction documents
  • co-ordination of consultants, programme, construction administration
  • client liaison and stakeholder management
  • briefing of staff and co-ordinating project inputs, delivery and priorities
  • nurturing and mentoring other team members

You will be passionate about, and committed to, the delivery of imaginative, intelligent, context-aware design outcomes that respond to client ambitions, site constraints and statutory requirements. You will also have the experience and capability to confidently coordinate and produce construction documents, undertake client liaison and project team coordination and oversee the construction phase of a project, ensuring continuity and delivery of the design objectives in the finished project.You will have at least five years’ experience as a Registered Architect in Australia and be able to demonstrate your ability to fulfill the role of a Project Architect, and your ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.

Key professional skills required include:

  • advanced skills in AutoDesk suite (AutoCAD, REVIT), InDesign, Adobe Professional Suite and Microsoft Office: in particular Excel, Word and Project
  • knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in, the application of key regulatory and statutory requirements of Australian Standards, DDA, OH&S, National Construction Code, Heritage Act 2017, Burra Charter
  • excellent written, verbal and graphics communications skills
  • excellent time management and organisational skills
  • ability to prioritise workloads and conflicting requirements in order to satisfy clients needs and meet deadlines
  • willingness to continue learning and developing knowledge
