About the Role We’re hiring a Project Assistant to support our Project Managers in delivering high-quality data projects for leading AI teams around the world. This role is designed for someone early in their project management career who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn how complex data projects are planned, executed, and delivered at scale. As a Project Assistant, you will work closely with experienced PMs to help track project progress, coordinate tasks across teams, maintain documentation, and ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will not be expected to own projects end-to-end, but you will play a critical role in keeping projects on track and enabling PMs to focus on higher-level planning and client management. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project operations, client delivery, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-growing AI infrastructure company. Responsibilities Support Project Managers with day-to-day project execution, including task tracking, scheduling, and status updates. Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, timelines, and trackers to ensure visibility across teams. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to follow up on assigned tasks and ensure deadlines are met. Assist in preparing client-facing materials such as project updates, summaries, and delivery documentation. Help monitor project risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating concerns to Project Managers when needed. Support data delivery workflows by tracking dataset progress, validation steps, and final outputs. Participate in internal meetings and help capture action items, decisions, and next steps. Contribute to improving project processes, templates, and operational workflows over time. Qualifications 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, operations, program support, or related roles. Internship experience is acceptable. Strong organizational and time-management skills with close attention to detail. Comfortable working with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, project trackers, and basic documentation tools. Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions when needed. Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow into increased responsibility over time. Fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages are a plus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment with team members across time zones. Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000 USD annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work at Abaka AI. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO, and a flexible work schedule.
