Description
Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management Project Assistant II(s) The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with MIT-RAISE, co-created the AI Education for Students Project. With funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, it aims to cultivate AI literacy and competencies in students, empowering them to learn more effectively, use technology more discerningly, and innovate more creatively, hence better prepared for the future workplace and society. The Project engages schools to provide equitable access to quality AI learning for students in Hong Kong. The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting in the planning and execution of campaigns for school support and project promotion, including the co-ordination of teaching and learning resources; (b) collaborating with internal and external parties to maintain networks with local primary and secondary schools and stakeholders for smooth project execution; (c) providing administrative and secretarial support to the Project, relevant committees, and meetings; and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (ii) a recognised Bachelor’s degree; (iii) fast and accurate English and Chinese word-processing skill; (iv) at least 1 to 2 years’ work experience in administration or project assistance; (v) a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a proactive, positive work attitude; (vi) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office and design software; (vii) strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills; (viii) the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders; and (ix) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
