Description
Centre for the Studies of Daoist Culture Project Assistant II The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative and logistical support to the Centre; (b) assisting in the organisation of academic events, including conferences, public lectures, seminars, workshops and academic visits; (c) providing support for office administration and daily operations; (d) liaising with internal and external parties; (e) traveling to the Chinese Mainland for field trips occasionally; and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English word-processing skill; (iv) a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with 1 year’s administrative work experience; (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (vi) proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); (vii) good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; (viii) a self-motivated and meticulous work attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility; and (ix) the ability to work independently. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
