Description

Under the overall supervision of the Programme Officer (IBG), and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer (IBG), the Project Associate (IBG) will support the operational coordination and implementation of Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) projects in Ethiopia, with a primary focus on the Ethiopia component of the regional counter-smuggling programme and with support, as required, to synergistic activities across the broader IBG portfolio. The incumbent will support the implementation, particularly for trainings, workshops, coordination meetings, assessments and routine engagement with government counterparts. The role will support the effective delivery of capacity-building activities related to border governance, document examination and fraud detection, migration management, referral procedures, and related operational priorities. The incumbent will also support follow-up across multiple implementation sites and contribute to operational coherence with other IBG interventions, including, Legal Identity, Cross Border Trade, Document Examination, MIDAS-related activities, institutional strengthening efforts, and technical coordination with national counterparts.
