You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of Financial reporting requirements for our new Core Retail Platform (CRP). You will be the crucial link between the Finance team and the Technology Implementation team, ensuring all financial data and reporting is robust and that Finance is well prepared for future reporting and analysis. This is a full-time fixed term role for the duration of the project based in Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Champion the design, development, and configuration of Finance requirements for the new Core Retail Platform (CRP) and its supporting applications. Conduct end-to-end Finance requirements mapping in consultation with stakeholders, and write functional specifications that align with Finance objectives. Navigate complex data structures and system logic to deliver accurate, Retail energy-specific Finance reporting requirements. Proactively research and problem-solve challenges, particularly those involving estimation and judgement. Coordinate and execute testing activities to ensure all financial system, data, and reporting outputs meet defined business requirements and expectations Manage the integration of new solutions into existing Finance processes to ensure a seamless implementation and minimal business impact. Develop complete and accurate finance-related documentation, including process flows and training materials, for a successful project handover. What You’ll Bring to the Role Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology. Mandatory experience working within the Retail Energy industry, with specific knowledge of financial/accounting processes unique to the sector. Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years focused on finance transformation projects (ERP, Billing, or major platform implementation). Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to finance stakeholders and financial requirements to technical developers. Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage complex scope and competing priorities. Strong ability to independently collect and analyse data (SQL Skills highly regarded). Proven competencies in: financial analysis, problem solving, attention to detail, adaptability, and excellent communication.
