Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Project / Business Operations Specialist for an onsite contract position in either Chicago, Illinois or Columbus, Ohio.
In this role, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating and completing projects that support strategic goals. You will oversee all aspects of projects from initiation to completion, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress. You’ll prepare reports for upper management to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. This opportunity requires adaptability, strong problem-solving abilities, and exceptional organizational skills.
As a Project / Business Operations Specialist, you will lead and direct the work of others, relying on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You’ll drive process improvement and optimization initiatives, identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, and establish and maintain robust controls and compliance measures. You will also be instrumental in setting and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for Integrated Marketing, aligning project goals with broader organizational objectives.

Project / Business Operations Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and complete projects, overseeing all aspects from initiation to completion.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, ensuring project goals are met.
  • Utilize a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures to achieve project objectives.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, demonstrating creativity and latitude in problem-solving.

Project / Business Operations Specialist Qualifications:

  • Experience in project management, particularly in client service, Global Banking, or Treasury Services.
  • Strong understanding of business model and organizational structure.
  • Familiarity with products, especially channel and payment solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Background in project management within technology or financial services industries (preferred).
  • Strong technical aptitude with familiarity in production environments and project management processes (preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating strong prioritization and organizational skills in high-pressure situations (preferred).
