The Project Civil Engineer will oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success, from initial design to final handover.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in civil engineering project management in construction.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, and construction management practices.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience with large-scale projects: high-rise buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Design:
  • Develop and review project plans, specifications, and designs.
  • Ensure that designs comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Review and approve design calculations and technical drawings.
  • Project Management:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of the project team.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance & Control:
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect project sites regularly to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Review and approve work completed by subcontractors.
  • Budget & Cost Control:
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Monitor project expenses, ensuring the project stays within budget.
  • Propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement safety measures on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, including obtaining necessary permits.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, drawings, and change orders.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, progress, and any issues.
  • Ensure all project documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
