Description Toole Design is looking for a Project Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Silver Spring, MD. What You'll Do As a Project Engineer at Toole Design, the projects you design will be built. You'll apply your civil engineering expertise to deliver multimodal transportation solutions across a wide range of contexts, from urban roadway reconstructions and streetscapes to signature trail projects that enhance suburban and rural environments. Requirements What You Bring P.E. license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) 5+ years of experience developing roadway/highway construction documents Strong background in civil engineering (roadway and geometric design, 3D modeling, accessible design) Experience with signing and pavement marking, including MUTCD standards, as well as familiarity with PROWAG requirements Proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads Experience with permitting, agency coordination, construction documentation, and cost estimating Bonus Skills Experience with multimodal transportation projects and multidisciplinary coordination (utilities, ROW, signals, etc.) Familiarity with local agencies such as MDOT SHA, VDOT, or DDOT
