Department of Social Work Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of ‘Multimedia Officer’) We are seeking a creative and proactive Multimedia Officer to strengthen our department’s visibility in research, teaching, and community engagement. This role will coordinate strategic digital communication, develop engaging multimedia content, and ensure that the department’s information and promotional materials remain current and impactful. The appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive social media strategy across key platforms (e.g. the department’s website, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and RedNote); (b) producing regular research features, stories, and other media materials that showcase the department’s research impact and teaching achievements to a wider audience; (c) supporting programme promotion and student recruitment by developing creative media materials; (d) offering guidance to staff on effective social media use, storytelling, and digital communication strategies; (e) liaising with internal units, external parties (e.g. vendors) and other stakeholders to produce high-quality multimedia content; and (f) performing any other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Journalism and Communication, Creative Media or other related disciplines; (ii) proven experience in managing social media platforms and digital campaigns; (iii) strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both English and Chinese; (iv) the ability to produce or familiarity with vendor management for high quality media production; and (v) strong communication and collaboration skills for working with academic and administrative staff. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
