Description
Faculty of Medicine Project Co-ordinator II [carrying the job title of ‘Officer (Finance)’] The appointee will work in the Finance & Development team under the Faculty and Planning Office, Faculty of Medicine. Duties include (a) processing documents related to accounting, tender, procurement, travel expenses, etc., and ensuring compliance with the University’s guidelines; (b) assisting with budgeting and performing financial management for special projects; (c) collaborating with internal and external parties to provide procurement and administrative support, and handling their enquiries; (d) reconciling and compiling financial data and preparing reports for management review; (e) handling routine administrative tasks and maintaining the team’s filing system; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Overtime work and working beyond normal office hours may be required. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification work experience; (iii) a high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with advanced knowledge of Excel; (iv) proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; (v) attentiveness to detail and accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility; (vi) good team spirit and problem-solving skills; and (vii) excellent communication skills, a self-motivated work attitude, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
