Centre for China Studies Project Co-ordinator II (Postgraduate Programmes) The Centre for China Studies (CCS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a department-level unit that offers English-taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (including MA, MPhil and PhD) and is committed to the highest international quality of interdisciplinary teaching and research on modern and contemporary China. The Centre is inviting applications for a Project Co-ordinator II to support the general administration of the Centre, particularly for the Postgraduate Programmes, including the MA in Chinese Studies Programme, MPhil and PhD Programmes’ operation and publicity. Reporting to the Centre’s leadership, the appointee will provide administrative support for the Centre’s Postgraduate Programmes. Duties include (a) processing admission applications; (b) managing the postgraduate programmes’ course logistics; (c) managing postgraduate student matters; (d) liaising with the University’s Graduate School and other University units on postgraduate programme issues; (e) creating promotional content; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification work experience in programme administration, including student admissions, course co-ordination, quality assurance, and data analysis, preferably at tertiary level; (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) strong communication and organisational skills; (v) a strong sense of responsibility and attentiveness to detail; and (vi) strong team spirit and cross-cultural sensitivity. Familiarity with graphic design and having audio-video production skills will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
