Description
Department of Economics Project Co-ordinator II The BSc in Global Economics and Finance programme, offered jointly by the Department of Economics and the Department of Finance, is looking for a candidate to take up the position of Project Co-ordinator II. The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative and secretarial support to the programme, and maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders; (b) handling administrative and student matters, from admissions, student activities, and student learning affairs etc.; (c) liaising with the University’s internal academic and administrative units, and external professional organisations; (d) assisting in office administration and daily operations of the General Office; and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education institutions settings; (iii) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing skill; (iv) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably with proficiency in Putonghua); (v) good interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation; and (vi) the ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
