Description
Department of Sociology Project Co-ordinator II The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in day-to-day running of a taught Master’s degree programme; (b) planning and organising admissions, promotion and academic activities; (c) providing general administrative and logistical support to teaching and learning matters; (d) coordinating Department events and activities; and (e) performing other administrative duties/ad hoc tasks as assigned. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification work experience, preferably in the tertiary education field; (iii) an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iv) the ability to work as an effective team member; (v) a strong sense of responsibility and motivation; (vi) good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; and (vii) the ability to multitask and work independently. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
