Department of Chemical Pathology Project Co-ordinator II (The Hong Kong Genome Project) The Hong Kong Genome Project is a new initiative that aims to enhance the clinical application of genomic medicine to benefit patients and their families, and promote research in genomic medicine and related fields to facilitate future medical development in Hong Kong. The Faculty of Medicine of CUHK is one of the partnering centres of the Project. The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) overseeing and managing the administrative work of the Project’s partnering centre in the University; (b) undertaking general liaison with the Hong Kong Genome Institute, the Hospital Authority, and other stakeholders on the execution of the Project; (c) providing committee services and performing general executive duties; (d) managing and co-ordinating the compilation of reports related to the Project; and (e) performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) a good command of both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (iii) strong interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills; (iv) a self-motivated and hardworking work attitude, and a strong commitment to taking responsibility; (v) the ability to work independently and under pressure, and as a good team member; (vi) good computer literacy; and (vii) at least 3 years’ work experience. Having 1 to 2 years’ relevant work experience at tertiary institutions and/or public organisations is preferred. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Responsibilities
