Candidates without valid work permit in Norway and NORSOK experience will not be evaluated Work location: Børdalen Rotation schedule: 13/15 Contract period: 01.12.2025 – 31.08.2026 The MC Engineer EIT is responsible for ensuring that Mechanical Completion (MC) activities are executed in accordance with the project’s requirements for HSE, quality, progress, and cost. The role is crucial in the transition from construction to commissioning and operation, facilitating a safe, seamless, and efficient handover of systems and equipment within the project. Main Responsibilities: Participate in MC walk-downs, record completion work, and clarify technical issues. Ensure all mechanical completion documentation is complete and correct. Verify that Red Line Mark-Ups include P&IDs and SCDs. Take responsibility for electrical, instrument, automation, and telecommunication disciplines. Issue completion certificates and ensure timely handover to commissioning. Act as a link between the MC and engineering organizations. Build and maintain strong working relationships within the team and with suppliers. Assess HSE risks related to assigned tasks and implement necessary measures. Support engineering, construction, and suppliers in MC-related matters. Verify and approve MC documentation from suppliers and update relevant systems. Implement, follow up, and report MC activities according to plan. Achieve the project’s HSE goals within the assigned area of responsibility. Be familiar with applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Contribute to cost and time improvements within the project. Identify and follow up deviations between design and installation within your discipline. Follow up and sign off punch lists. Report progress and challenges to the MC Lead. Ensure that all necessary information is entered into relevant systems. Support commissioning activities when required. Qualifications: Technical college or engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, or equivalent fields. Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MC work within oil and gas projects, preferably offshore and/or Power from Shore projects. Experience with MC processes, project coordination, and completion tools such as PIMS. Solid understanding of multidisciplinary work, system-based completion, and relevant standards (NORSOK, ATEX, IEC, etc.). Personal Qualities: Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive with strong execution capability. Excellent collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and organizations. Motivational and inspiring, with a strong focus on fostering team spirit. Confident in the role as coordinator, driver, and leader. Strong focus on HSE and quality.
