ABOUT THE BUSINESS AND ROLE

SLR Consulting is an employee-controlled international environmental consultancy with a globally recognised reputation for providing high quality tailored services. With offices throughout the Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Africa regions, SLR Consulting is one of a very small number of leading international specialist environmental consultancies.
Our team has a genuine interest in developing practical and sustainable solutions for our clients and reducing the environmental impact of our own operations. For example, SLR has recently committed to being a climate-neutral business by 2030 and adopting the Science-Based Target Initiative’s (SBTi) “Business Ambition for 1.5°C” framework to set emissions reduction targets and drive our climate action plan.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join SLR’s Land Quality and Remediation discipline in Brisbane. We’re looking for a like-minded individual who enjoys working with an enthusiastic, committed, and fun-loving team, is a good listener, and enjoys solving issues for clients.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be working very closely with the multidisciplinary consultants within our Brisbane office as well as the rest of the Land Quality and Remediation consultants across APAC including contaminated site auditors and technical specialists comprising principal hydrogeologists, risk assessors, chemists, and environmental/remediation engineers to deliver quality contaminated land services to our Queensland and National clients.

JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with the support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team. With a passion for contaminated land management, earth sciences, contaminated hydrogeology, or civil/ environmental engineering, you will work with likeminded individuals, whilst enjoying excellent career opportunities across a range of industry sectors.
As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence and high-level project management, tenders/proposals preparation, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting. Additionally, you would be expected to work with the team to identify opportunities for growth, leading with team resourcing and development, and act as a professional role model for staff across the team with a caring and compassionate nature.
