Purpose As Project Control and Planning Manager, you lead a team of Project Control Managers/Engineers and Planning Managers/Engineers to ensure project efficiency, scheduling and cost control accuracy to support SBM projects and operations. Your daily tasks include managing project timelines, resource allocations, reporting and analysis, and budgeting to support successful project delivery.Responsibilities You lead and manage a team of Project Control Managers/Engineers, and Planning Managers/Engineers for your scope/area of responsibility.You set department objectives and drive alignment with the global Project Control and Planning strategy.You ensure compliance with company standards and processes, and regulatory requirements across projects.You provide oversight on project scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and forecasting.You develop and implement best practices for planning, scheduling, and cost control activities.You mentor and develop team members to build a high-performance project controls and planning function.You foster cross-departmental collaboration and strive to attract talents and encourage cross-functional assignmentsYou identify, implement and support continuous improvement initiatives within project controls and planning.You develop and implement adequate training plans to upskill your team, in accordance with the Global Training objectivesEducation Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Project Management, or related field)Experience 10+ years of experience in project controls, planning, or related functions within the energy industry or complex large-scale project sector.Proven track record of managing and leading teams, particularly Project Control Engineers, Planning Engineers, and Planning Managers.Strong experience in project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, and forecasting for complex projects.Experience working with senior stakeholders to drive project alignment and performance.Functional Competencies Workforce planningPeople engagementBusiness PartneringChange ManagementProject controlPeople managementPlanning GENERAL INFORMATION SBM Offshore N.V. is a listed holding company that is headquartered in Amsterdam.
